NCC Tottenham Hotspur 0 v 13 Chelsea FC Blenheim Development

PoM Evalyn H

The Chelsea FC Blenheim Development squad began their AoC Premier League campaign with a commanding 13–0 win away at NCC Tottenham Hotspur. Despite a delayed kick-off and having to complete their warm-up on a small 5-a-side pitch, the squad remained focused and professional and it showed from the first whistle. From start to finish, the team delivered a complete performance, combining intensity, discipline, and clinical finishing.

While the scoreline may suggest an easy game, what stood out most was the team’s relentless energy and professional approach throughout the 90 minutes. A large number of the goals came as a result of a well executed high press, which consistently forced errors from the opposition in their own half. The pressing intensity gave Chelsea a constant stream of attacking opportunities and showcased the team’s tactical awareness and work rate.

The one exception? A fantastic goal directly from a corner, a moment of individual brilliance that added to an already memorable performance. Defensively, Chelsea absorbed any long-ball threats from NCC’s goalkeeper with composure, using it as a platform to launch quick and effective attacks. The entire team showed versatility, confidence on the ball, and control in every area of the pitch. What made the result even more impressive was the consistency goals were spread evenly throughout the match, highlighting the team’s fitness, focus, and refusal to let standards drop at any point. Every player contributed to a dominant and disciplined performance. A huge well done to all involved a perfect way to kick off the campaign!

Coaches Corner - Luke Petri

"It would have been very easy to lose focus after the first half, but they stuck to the task right to the final whistle. It was a superb performance and a fantastic result for the players in their first game of the season".
